The home government has unveiled some plans commencing from the month of June, local administrative authorities of England can assess penalty charges to the individuals noticed leaving their cars or autos at dropped kerbs.
Transport minister, Paul Clark, described his thinking behind this move, “Dropped kerbs are always there to help wheelchair users and those with powered mobility vehicles or prams get around safely and easily”, he remarked.
Mr. Clark also asserted that double parking results an unnecessary hindrance that can put all road users in danger. The Code of Highway was clear about the move that drivers should not park their vehicles in such place, he further added.
